Why visit?
Klimpark Alphen is an outdoor climbing course in Park Zegersloot with four towers reaching up to 11 metres. Obstacles, zip-lines and a footbridge connect the towers. Climbers have two hours on the course and choose challenges that match their confidence and experience.
The course is not just a children’s attraction. Adults, beginners, groups of friends and experienced climbers can all start at their own level. Participants must be at least 1.30 metres tall and weigh no more than 120 kilograms. Children under ten climb with an adult supervisor.
Before starting, each climber receives a helmet, safety harness and safety line. Wear closed sports or walking shoes, remove jewellery, avoid loose cords and hoods and tie back long hair. Phones, keys and other loose belongings must be kept in a closed pocket or locker.
Regular hours are indicated as Wednesday to Friday from 1.30 pm to 6 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11.30 am to 6 pm. Monday and Tuesday are closed, although groups can visit by arrangement. Last entry is at 4 pm. The park opens on public holidays; hours may change in poor weather.
Two hours cost €17.50 for climbers no taller than 1.50 metres and €21.50 for taller climbers. A locker costs €2 and payment is by card only. Groups of more than ten climbers receive 10% off. Allow around 2.5 to 3 hours for the complete visit.
