De Bijlen car park in use for Huttenbouw
Huttenbouw Alphen runs from 17 to 21 August 2026 at Olympiaweg, bringing reduced parking and extra traffic around De Bijlen.
An event permit has been granted for Huttenbouw Alphen from Monday 17 to Friday 21 August 2026. The event uses De Bijlen car park on Olympiaweg, opposite Stichting MAX. The site becomes a children's building village and is therefore unavailable for normal parking during the event.
Times and activity around the site
According to the organiser, the regular daily programme runs from 09:30 to 15:30. Participants with permission may stay overnight on Thursday 20 August, and the week ends at 08:30 on Friday morning. Participant cards can already be collected on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August, so the area may also be busier during the preceding weekend.
Impact on other visitors
Expect more cyclists, drop-off traffic and parking pressure around start and finish times. The permit notice does not specify a road closure. If you are visiting a sports venue, Stichting MAX or another destination on Olympiaweg, check alternative parking in advance and take extra care around children and pedestrians.
